ROTARY MEMBER SPOTLIGHT IS HERE!
Each month we will feature one of the many Glen Ellyn Rotary members that make such a difference in our communities. These are people that fill many roles in their day to day lives and apply Rotary values in everything they do. This month’s member is Mark Franz. Mark always has a positive attitude and a friendly smile to share.  We are grateful for Mark’s service both professionally as the Glen Ellyn Village Manager and personally in his commitment to Rotary.

When did you become a Rotarian?
2003 in Homewood, Illinois  and 2011 in Glen Ellyn.

Why did you join Rotary?
It was a good way to give back to the community and world; while working closing with people who really care about those things.

What is your best Rotary memory?
The dictionary and health fair projects in Homewood and freezing at the Village Links while loading up oranges. The Prairie Path Park project was pretty fun too.

What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of Rotary?
Kids and sports (golf, paddle tennis, basketball, and coaching)

What is one fun fact about you that no one might know?
I have vacationed in beautiful Lake Mills, Wisconsin over the July 4th weekend for 44 years straight. (The place time forgot)
