Most members of the Rotary Club of Glen Ellyn know that we have supported the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. We gave $1,000 for books to help with literacy. Please, give a personal gift through the Glen Ellyn Library or to the quilt raffle fund, both mentioned below....PJ

D41 KIDS FOUNDATION ESTABLISHES THEIR DOLLY PARTON’S IMAGINATION LIBRARY AFFILIATE PROGRAM FOR INCOMING DISTRICT 41 CHILDREN.
Fostering the love of reading through the gifting of books to our youngest constituents.

D41 Kids Foundation is committed to supporting equity for all our children.
“The gift of a rich literary life is essential for building the skills necessary to succeed in school and in life,” states Dr. Lynn Bruno, a 30-year veteran literacy teacher and the D41 Kids Foundation’s director of the Imagination Library. “The benefits of reading to your child cannot be understated. Reading to children at this critical age not only helps to build vocabulary, develop comprehension and concentration skills, and foster curiosity, it also builds compassion and awakens the inner life of a child.”
Those interested in learning more about the D41 Kids Foundation’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library should visit our website at D41Kids.org or contact Dr. Lynn Bruno directly at lqbruno@mac.com.

About Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of The Dollywood Foundation has mailed well over 100 million free books in Australia, Canada, The Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.4 million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to registered children from birth to age five. Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading, inspiring them to dream. The impact of the program has been widely researched and results suggest positive increases in key early childhood literacy metrics.
